AML joins conference panel on short food circuits

Short food circuits are the central theme of the conference that Setúbal City Council is organizing on June 22 (Thursday), between 2.30pm and 5.30pm, at the Sociedade Filarmónica Perpétua Azeitonense, in Azeitão.

AML will be present, through the metropolitan secretary Filipe Ferreira, to present food policy and funding opportunities in AML.

The conference program also includes interventions on the European Green Deal, the food transition in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, the CLAIRE project and the Food link Network for the Food Transition in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. The Mediterranean diet in the Lisbon and Tagus Valley region, traditional activities and endogenous products in the Setúbal Peninsula, and The PLACE project will also be part of the program (see the full program here).

The conference "From farm to fork - short food circuits" is the last in a series of three held in June as part of the Setúbal Environment Days. The municipal environmental strategy and biodiversity and natural heritage were the themes of the two previous conferences.

The days also included an action to clean up beaches and coastal areas, a photography exhibition on biodiversity, a sustainability, well-being and employability fair, and a display of maritime traditions, among other activities.
