Lisbon Metropolitan Council meets on February 23rd

The Lisbon Metropolitan Council will meet ordinarily on February 23 (Thursday) at 10:30 a.m. at the headquarters of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

The agenda for the meeting will be as follows:

" Appointing representatives to serve as chairpersons of local mental health councils;

" Ruling on low-voltage electricity distribution (municipal concessions and territorial model);

" Provision of information on the activity of the Lisbon Metropolitan Executive Committee;

" Discussion of other matters of interest to the Lisbon Metropolitan Area.

The Metropolitan Council is the decision-making body of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, in accordance with the statute of inter-municipal entities.

It is made up of the mayors of the 18 municipalities that make up the metropolitan area (Alcochete, Almada, Amadora, Barreiro, Cascais, Lisboa, Loures, Mafra, Moita, Montijo, Odivelas, Oeiras, Palmela, Seixal, Sesimbra, Setúbal, Sintra and Vila Franca de Xira). It is chaired by Carla Tavares (Mayor of Amadora), with Hélder Sousa Silva (Mayor of Mafra) and Frederico Rosa (Mayor of Barreiro) as vice-chairs.
